22nd June 2017: The Pakistan Science and Engineering Foundation, a California non-profit is launching it’s Civic Innovation Fund that aims to bringing together civic-minded software engineers, designers, business development professionals and investors on to a platform that enables development of applications that streamline public services, while at the same time promotes grassroots entrepreneurship.

 

Paksef will incubating projects, both internally generated and through acquhire. Projects must have a technology aspect, and must demonstrate a solution that solves a social issue faced by grassroots communities across Pakistan.

 

Paksef will provide seed capital, mentoring and regulatory support to entrepreneurs looking to shape the future of their respective communities, while helping them grow there solutions into tomorrows profitable social benefit companies.

 

We will invest and incubate ideas across a varied range of industries, with particular focus in:

  • Agriculture Technology
  • Sustainable and Renewable Energy
  • Education and Workforce Development
  • Business and Financial Services
  • Government and Civic Tech
  • Transportation
  • Environment

 

Pakistan Science and Engineering Foundation is fiscally sponsoring the Civic Innovation Fund. Paksef is a California non-profit corporation registered under section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue code.
